Swiss Client Visits Our Shenzhen Office for an In-Depth Look at Our RFID Product Line
We were pleased to welcome a valued client from Switzerland to our Shenzhen office this week. Hosted by our Shenzhen team, the visit centred on one clear objective: to give the client a hands-on understanding of our RFID product portfolio and how it can be applied to their operations.
RFID technology has moved well beyond simple asset tagging. For companies managing inventory across multiple sites, tracking returnable assets, or running high-throughput warehouse operations, the value lies in having reader hardware, printing hardware and tag media that work together reliably as one system. That system-level view shaped the entire agenda of the visit.
A Guided Walk Through the RFID Portfolio
Our team began with an overview of the three core building blocks of an RFID deployment, and how our product range covers each of them:
RFID readers and scanners. The discussion covered both handheld and fixed reading equipment, including how read range, antenna configuration and form factor should be selected according to the operating environment — from a busy inbound dock to a controlled retail floor. The client was particularly interested in how reading performance holds up in dense-tag environments where many items pass a read point at once.
RFID label printers. Encoding and printing in a single pass is where most RFID rollouts either succeed or stall. Our team demonstrated how our printing equipment writes data to the inlay and prints the human-readable label in one operation, and discussed practical topics such as media compatibility, encoding verification and daily throughput expectations.
RFID tags and labels. Tag selection is rarely a one-size-fits-all decision. The conversation covered frequency selection, tag construction for different surfaces and conditions, and how the physical environment — metal, moisture, temperature — influences which tag format performs best. Sample tags from our range were provided for the client to review in person.
Live Demonstration in the Showroom
The most productive part of the day took place in our product showroom. Rather than working from specification sheets alone, the client was able to pick up the equipment and test it directly.
Our engineers ran through a live sequence: encoding and printing RFID labels, applying them to sample goods, and then reading the tagged items with handheld equipment to show how quickly a batch can be captured compared with item-by-item scanning. Seeing the read-write cycle complete end to end gave the client a much more concrete sense of what a deployment would look like in their own facility — and prompted a detailed round of technical questions that our team addressed on the spot.
Why Face-to-Face Still Matters
Much of our business is conducted online, and our overseas clients are used to evaluating equipment through documentation, video and remote support. Those channels work well. But an on-site visit does something that no specification sheet can: it lets a client hold the hardware, watch it perform, and challenge our engineers directly in real time.
For our team, the benefit runs in both directions. Hearing the client describe their operating conditions and constraints first-hand allows us to recommend configurations with far greater confidence than a written enquiry would permit — and it feeds directly into how we develop and refine our products.
Looking Ahead
Following the visit, both sides agreed to continue the discussion around a configuration tailored to the client's specific application. Our team will follow up with detailed technical documentation and sample support.
We would like to thank our visiting client for making the journey from Switzerland, and for the open and constructive exchange throughout the day. We look forward to a long and productive working relationship.
